Apr 24th, 2005 · This spring, bassist and composer Dave Holland has been touring with his Big Band, and he's released a new recording with the ensemble. The CD is called Overtime, and it's out on his own label, Dare2Records. Holland tells Liane Hansen about swinging with a big-band sound.
Mar 25th, 2005 · Award-winning British director and choreographer Matthew Bourne is now staging a new play in New York. Play Without Words takes place in London during the swinging '60s. The story unfolds without dialogue, relying on movement and music from a newly composed score by Terry Davies.
