Feb 19th, 2005 · The CEO of the Swedish company Rotundus, Nils Hulth, discusses his company's pride and joy. It's the Orb, a robotic ball that Rotundus describes as "well suited for surveillance and inspection in rough environments."
Feb 8th, 2005 · NASA announces it will probably cancel plans to send a robot to fix the Hubble Space Telescope. The president's proposed budget for the agency did not contain funding for the mission. An alternative proposal would send humans to repair the aging Hubble.

Dec 13th, 2004 · The consumer robot Asimo can follow directions, walk up stairs, and even hula. His creators at Honda say a commercial version could soon be available to assist the elderly and the handicapped. Dec 9th, 2004 · NASA is considering an unprecedented robotic mission to save the Hubble Space telescope. But a final report from the National Academy of Sciences says the robotic mission probably won't be ready on time to save the telescope. It strongly recommends sending astronauts instead. NPR's David Kestenbaum reports.
Dec 6th, 2004 · A confidential report commissioned by NASA concludes the agency's plan to use a robot to save the Hubble telescope is highly risky. The report suggests NASA should send up new instruments on a second, bare-bones telescope.
Jul 16th, 2004 · The new film, I, Robot, starring Will Smith, is loosely based on Asimov's short stories. The author wrote about space walks before man landed on the moon but didn't particularly care for commercial plane travel. He died in 1992. (First broadcast Sept. 9, 1987.)
