May 11th, 2009 · Lawyers for Roxana Saberi, who was convicted of spying and sentenced to eight years in prison, say she will be freed Monday after an Iranian appeals court suspended her prison term. Her father, Reza Saberi, tells NPR that he is going to pick her up immediately.
Apr 26th, 2009 · Roxana Saberi turns 32 Sunday — in prison. Saberi, a dual American-Iranian citizen, was convicted in Iran of spying for the U.S. and sentenced to eight years in prison. Her attorney filed an appeal Saturday, the same day her father, Reza Saberi, announced that she had started a hunger strike.
