Their formula for evaluating stock options laid the ground work for risk-management in modern financial markets. Sep 25th, 2008 · Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin became famous as a hockey mom who knew how to shoot. She could probably trade stories with a woman in Lebanon, Pa., Meleanie Hain had a permit to carry a concealed weapon. But she allegedly had it in plain sight at her daughter's soccer games. Other parents complained, and officials revoked her permit. We do not have word if the referees at her daughter's games were especially careful.
Aug 29th, 2008 · The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools revoked accreditation for the Clayton County School District south of Atlanta. This is only the second time in 40 years that an entire district has lost accreditation. That means the district's 50,000 students might not be able to qualify for scholarships or attend the college they've chosen.
Aug 6th, 2008 · China has revoked the visa of former Olympic speedskater Joey Cheek. News of the cancellation has come hours before Cheek was set to go to Beijing to promote a greater Chinese role to bring peace to Sudan's Darfur region. Cheek talks about the cancellation.
Aug 6th, 2008 · Speedskater Joey Cheek had planned to spend a couple of weeks in China, but his visa was revoked 24 hours before he was to leave. The Olympic medalist is the co-founder of Team Darfur, a group of athletes hoping to raise awareness about the crisis in the war-ravaged section of Sudan.
Jul 10th, 2008 · Following last week's bulldozer rampage in Jerusalem, some Israeli politicians want to pass laws that penalize families of people who launch attacks. That would mean revoking health insurance and unemployment benefits for Arab residents of East Jerusalem. While some Jewish lawmakers say it's necessary for Israel to toughen laws, critics say the proposals are about revenge.

Sep 17th, 2007 · Iraqi authorities have revoked the U.S. security firm Blackwater's license to work in Iraq, but the impact of the move is unclear. Over the weekend, Blackwater personnel guarding a convoy opened fire, reportedly killing nine civilians and wounding at least 15 others.
