Sep 12th, 2008 · Residents of Elkhart, Ind., have a choice. They can start digging holes all over town, or they can accept that their time capsule from 1958 is gone. Fifty years later, the city would like to dig it up, but there's no official record of its location. One resident remembers that it might be on a street corner where, unfortunately, the sidewalk was recently replaced. The city plans a new time capsule with better records of its location.
