Second Stage: Hope For Agoldensummer

Feb 25th, 2010 · It's not very often that a young, up-and-coming band produces a fully developed, 17-track album. But the Athens, Georgia group Hope For Agoldensummer is wonderfully prolific. The band's members have produced a live album, two full-lengths, and they're now mixing a third. Their most recent LP, the lovely, meandering Ariadne Thread, plods effortlessly through 17 songs that are all extremely headphone-friendly.

Microsoft Co-Founder Allen Taking Chemotherapy

Nov 16th, 2009 · Paul Allen, who founded the software giant with Bill Gates, has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The 56-year-old Allen is a prolific investor in real estate, technology companies and sports teams. He owns football's Seattle Seahawks and basketball's Portland Trail Blazers.

Pioneer Harpist Retires After 40 Years

Oct 1st, 2009 · Carnegie Hall kicks off its season in New York with a new work by prolific Hollywood composer John Williams. It's a concerto for harp and orchestra, and Williams wrote it specifically for Ann Hobson Pilot. For the past 40 years she's been the Principal Harpist for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She was the first African American woman to win a seat with the BSO, and one of the first in any major symphony. Now she's ready to enjoy the music from a new perspective- the audience's.

Jay-Z Stays Fresh On 'The Blueprint 3'

Prolific San Diego Zoo Panda Mom Bears Fifth Cub
