Dec 18th, 2008 · Democratic Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania says he's sorry for the Polish jokes he told at a luncheon in New York. He was giving a little speech, so he tried to lighten the mood with some jokes. After the New York Post reported his jokes, Specter apologized to Polish groups. The Senator says the jokes went over the line of good taste.

The U.S knew it was coming, because a Polish army officer named Ryszard Kuklinski had secretly leaked the plan to the CIA. For nearly ten years, Kuklinski was the CIA's top spy in the Soviet bloc.

Oct 8th, 2008 · The first retrospective exhibit of controversial artist Jeff Koons is on display at Versailles, just outside Paris. In recent years, only a few select works of contemporary artists have been displayed there. Now, Koon's giant red aluminum lobster, vacuum cleaners and floor polishers display and giant balloon dog adorn the palace. Critics are calling it a sullying of French culture and identity.
