His music filled Dee Dee Bridgewater's album Love and Peace: A Tribute to Horace Silver. This concert in his honor comes from the Discoveries at Disney Concert Hall series in Los Angeles.
Jul 7th, 2008 · The inspiration for Wolf Parade's "California Dreamer" comes from exactly where you might suspect it does: The Mamas and the Papas' 1965 hit "California Dreamin'." Singer Spencer Krug's curiosity was piqued by the line, "If I didn't tell her / I would leave today," so he imagined the perspective of the woman left behind.

Aug 9th, 2006 · When American literary giant Ernest Hemingway took his own life in 1961, he left the world a rich legacy, including some classic novels, a reputation for drinking and womanizing and a six-toed pet cat named Snowball. That cat's descendants now run free at the Hemingway Home and Museum in Key West, Fla., and museum officials are fighting to keep it that way.
