Dec 17th, 2009 · The town of Shenandoah, Pa., was torn apart by a racially motivated crime. Now, the federal government has gotten involved. They've charged three top police officers in the town of covering up evidence in the fatal beating of a Mexican immigrant. Two white football players are in jail now for the attack, although the most serious charges against them were thrown out by a jury. Federal prosecutors says that's because police officers in the town knew the boys and altered evidence in the case.

Dec 16th, 2009 · Shenandoah, Pa., police were charged Tuesday with trying to cover-up the fatal beating of a Mexican immigrant by white teenagers. A civil suit filed in 2006 accused the police with beating to death a Hispanic teenager, then hanging him from the bars of his holding cell to make it appear a suicide.
