This time, opponents of the pro-Western President Victor Yushchenko are demonstrating -- defying his call for new elections. Legislators and the prime minister call the move unconstitutional.
Aug 9th, 2006 · In Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovich has returned to power as prime minister. The opposition leader was closely identified with the former Communist regime that was ousted in the Orange Revolution two years ago. Yanukovich must now share power with the group that led the Orange Revolution.
Mar 26th, 2006 · Voters in Sunday's parliamentary election in Ukraine seem to have turned away from the man who led them in last year's Orange Revolution. President Viktor Yushchenko's party came in third, behind a pro-Russian party and a faction led by the president's former prime minister.
