May 1st, 2008 · David Blaine — who is described as an endurance specialist — set a new world record on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Blaine says he inhaled pure oxygen before he started, and then held his breath for 17 minutes and 4 seconds. When he broke the record, with half a minute to spare, he said he accomplished a lifelong dream.
Jan 16th, 2008 · Oprah Winfrey is getting her own television network. It will debut next year in nearly 70 million households. The Oprah Winfrey Network will be a joint venture between her Harpo Productions and Discovery Communications, which operates Discovery Channel.
