The faithful in Nicaragua have taken the celebration of animals one step further: At the annual mass of St. Lazarus, they light candles and pray for their pets. They also hold a contest for best-dressed pet. Churchgoers included a pig in a sweater and dogs dressed up like babies and clowns. And one in a tiny military uniform.
