Expert Releases Rescued Bat Into the Wild
May 17th, 2008 · In December, NPR staffers discovered a bat nestled in a crack of a building across the street from the NPR headquarters in Washington, D.C. After spending the rest of the winter and part of the spring at a bat sanctuary in Northern Virginia under the care of bat expert Leslie Sturges, it was released this week into the woods. NPR's Andrea Seabrook talks with Sturges about the bat's plight.
