Tales Of A Nazi-Occupied British Isle In 'Guernsey' ***

Jul 29th, 2008 · The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is set after World War II and follows a London writer who becomes enthralled with the stories of Nazi occupation of the island of Guernsey, off the British coast. The book was written by Mary Ann Shaffer, who died before she could complete it. Shaffer had asked her niece, Annie Barrows, to help finish the novel after she died. Barrows talks with Deborah Amos.

Seattle Retiree, 86, Accused Of WWII Nazi Ties **

Jul 21st, 2008 · The Justice Department is trying to revoke the U.S. citizenship of an 86-year-old Seattle man who was allegedly part of a Nazi unit that murdered thousands of people during World War II. Former restaurant host and retiree Peter Egner was allegedly part of a Nazi SS police unit in German-occupied Serbia. Egner's lawyer says the Nazi-hunters in the Justice Department are "scraping the bottom of the barrel" for war criminals.

Team Hunts Aging Nazi Doctor In South America ***
