Nov 11th, 2008 · A quartet originally formed in Madison, Wis. in 1996, The Great Depression is now based in Denmark. The moniker is an especially fitting one, as the ten songs on the Great Depression's third and latest full-length album, Forever Altered, all drift through gray and somber landscapes. But its melancholia is sophisticated rather than melodramatic.
Oct 22nd, 2008 · Lawrence, Kan., resident Jordan Geiger appears to be one particularly busy musician. Not only is he a part of the Missouri-based rock band Minus Story, but he also plays the trumpet in Shearwater. Recently, however, Geiger has stepped to center stage for a solo effort under the moniker Hospital Ships.
Oct 6th, 2008 · In early 2007, singer and songwriter Daniel Ingala began writing and recording catchy, synth-driven pop music in his New York City apartment. He soon took on the moniker Plushgun, and uploaded his first song, "Just Impolite," to his MySpace page. The track quickly found an online audience, drawing more than a half-million page visits and thousands of new fans.

City and Colour is the solo project of Ontario-native Dallas Green, founding member of the Canadian band Alexisonfire. Bring Me Your Love is Green's second full-length release under the City and Colour moniker, and the record's acoustic singer-songwriter work balances beautifully simple music with powerful vocals and heavy, confessional lyrics.
