Nov 28th, 2008 · Detroit-born pianist, composer and educator Geri Allen is a musician of great depth and creativity. She's recently been presented with a Guggenheim Fellowship for music composition. Allen displays her compositional skills and plays the music of Monk and Strayhorn with McPartland.
Nov 21st, 2008 · Guitarist Mimi Fox is a rising star, invigorating the jazz guitar tradition. With an amazing set of chops and a crystal pure tone, Fox cooks whether playing bebop or ballads. She plays an original and tears it up on a Cole Porter tune with McPartland and bassist Gary Mazzaroppi.
Nov 14th, 2008 · Pianist Tardo Hammer is a marvelous bebop player and a sought-after sideman. When he's not playing festivals and club dates around the world, he's active as a jazz educator. An expert interpreter of the music of Tad Dameron, Hammer plays his tunes and joins McPartland on "Good Bait."
Oct 24th, 2008 · Widely recognized as one of the preeminent interpreters of Antonio Carlos Jobim, vocalist Eliane Elias has lately begun exploring the works of Bill Evans. She plays and sings a previously unreleased Evans tune, "Here Is Something for You," for which she has written a lyric, and McPartland gives her own Evans tribute on "B Minor Waltz."
Oct 17th, 2008 · Marian McPartland's 90th birthday celebration continues with more one-of-a-kind performances from a special concert at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Pianist Jason Moran performs a McPartland original and Wynton Marsalis joins McPartland for a rousing version of "All the Things You Are."
Oct 10th, 2008 · Marian McPartland celebrates her 90th birthday in style with a special concert at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Some of the biggest stars in the jazz universe stop by to pay tribute to McPartland, and the birthday girl gets everything she wants, performing duets with singer Norah Jones, violinist Regina Carter and trumpeter Jeremy Pelt.

Most recently, Wilson hosted NPR's popular program, Jazz Profiles. She joins McPartland to swap stories and sing songs, including "Easy Living" and "The Nearness of You."
Sep 26th, 2008 · Chick Corea has been a major force in music for nearly 40 years. His inventive improvisations and musical ideas have made him one of the most important figures in modern jazz. On this 1987 program, recorded at Corea's Madhatter studio, Marian McPartland plays the Fender Rhodes and Corea plays his KX5 synthesizer in "Crystal Silence."
