Arrests Made in Alleged New York Plot

Reports Focus on Possible Bombing 'Mastermind'

Scrushy Declared Not Guilty of Fraud

Jun 28th, 2005 · A federal jury in Birmingham, Ala., acquits former HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy on all counts of a massive fraud charge against him. Scrushy was accused of masterminding a $2.7 billion accounting fraud at the company he founded. Prosecutors viewed the case as a test of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
