Apr 23rd, 2008 · The Licks are a rock trio with unusually defined roles. Frontman Matt Berger says he provides the songs while Grace McLean sings harmony and Marian Kelly offers "thoughts." "I work with Marian, and we talk about music a lot" says Berger. "She doesn't play any instruments, or sing, but I thought we could operate like the postpunk group Scritti Politti, wherein I would write the music under her guidance (and excellent musical taste) and then record it."

May 31st, 2007 · NASA administrator Michael Griffin defends the space agency's programs, including plans for a permanent moon base and manned missions to Mars. He also says that the agency has no authorization to "take actions to affect climate change in either one way or another."

More than 30 years ago, Bowie created the gender-bending Ziggy Stardust, and produced the now classic album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. Mar 10th, 2006 · Mission controllers at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., burst into applause as the Reconnaissance Orbiter arrives safely to Mars. Only about two-thirds of NASA's Mars missions have survived. The spacecraft is supposed to gather more information about Mars than all previous missions combined.
Mar 10th, 2006 · If all goes well, a powerful, new space probe will arrive Friday at Mars. As the name suggests, the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter will not land on the surface. It's designed to view the entire planet from an altitude of about 200 miles. But first it has to arrive safely, and that's been no easy feat for missions to Mars.
