May 30th, 2007 · Military prosecutors open their case against Marine Lt. Colonel Jeffrey Chessani, who is accused of failing to report the deaths of 24 Iraqi civilians in November, 2005. The Iraqis allegedly were killed by members of a Marine squad near the town of Haditha in the wake of an IED attack on a Marine convoy.
May 30th, 2007 · Marine Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani faces a military hearing on charges that he failed to report the deaths of 24 Iraqi civilians near the town of Haditha. U.S. Marines allegedly killed the Iraqis, including children, following a roadside bomb attack on a Marine convoy in November 2005. Chessani is the highest ranking Marine swept up by the Haditha probe.

Oct 26th, 2006 · Marine 2nd Lt. Joshua Booth died from a sniper's bullet while leading his squad on a foot patrol in Haditha. Booth attended The Citadel, where he earned his commission as a Marine officer. His family says he had told them to be ready for his death.
Sep 8th, 2005 · Marine 2nd Lt. James J. Cathey was killed in Iraq on Aug. 21. His superiors described him as a model Marine and a natural leader. Cathey was killed by an improvised explosive device barely one month after he arrived in Iraq. Reporter Eric Whitney of member station KRCC reports.
