Feb 25th, 2008 · One Maine resident has started a "pothole rebellion." Bridges are also in bad shape. They're wearing out twice as fast as the state can replace them. As they deteriorate, engineers post signs limiting the weight of vehicles that legally can cross them. No one knows where the money to fix the ailing infrastructure will come from.

Nov 28th, 2007 · The Supreme Court heard arguments Wednesday on Maine's law aimed at further restricting children's access to tobacco. The law bans deliveries of tobacco products to dealers known to operate without a license, and to anyone under age 27 who doesn't show identification.

LaCoille lost the same ring while vacationing in Maine. Two weeks later the ring turned up in the mail. Now he's having it resized.
