Jun 23rd, 2007 · At age 18, Dominik Maican has already composed six symphonies, one of which has been recorded by the London Symphony. Although child prodigies are nothing new, Maican stands out as a composer of substance, earning high praise from his teachers at Juilliard and the musicians who play his music.
Feb 9th, 2006 · William Bolcom's Songs of Innocence and of Experience won the Grammys for best classical album, choral performance, and classical contemporary composition at Wednesday's awards ceremony. Other awards went to the London Symphony and singer Thomas Quasthoff.
Dec 2nd, 2005 · The jazz icon turns 85 on Dec. 6. He'll celebrate with a concert in London where he will be joined by the London Symphony. There are several recent collections of his work: The Dave Brubeck Collection, which reissues five of his classic out-of-print LPs, and Dave Brubeck: Time Signature: A Career Retrospective.
