Feb 8th, 2010 · Right from the start, it's clear that Gorilla Manor is a special album. The harmonies grab hold immediately, but there's also a gentleness to the singing. These aren't knockout vocals, but they're sweet, and they serve Local Natives' swaying, graceful songs just right. Hear Gorilla Manor in its entirety for the week leading up to its release.

Jan 11th, 2010 · Playing nine remarkable shows in Austin in 2009, Local Natives impressed enough fans, critics and record labels to get a release of their new album in the U.K. last fall (release in the U.S. is scheduled for February). Titled Gorilla Manor (in honor of their shared abode in Orange County,) the twelve-track collection is an emotional yet unfailingly cheerful pop offering.
