Poverty, Race and Jury Selection

Oct 6th, 2005 · A U.S. District Court Judge in Boston rules the jury-selection process prevented two black men from getting a fair trial in their death penalty cases. The judge says African Americans are under-represented on lists of potential jurors because many live in poor communities that don't have the resources to keep their jury lists current.
