Feb 17th, 2010 · The wait is over, music lovers. Today we're announcing our lineup for the opening night showcase at this year's South By Southwest festival and conference. Spoon will headline the show, which will be webcast on NPR.org and broadcast live on five NPR member stations, beginning at 8 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Mar. 17, from Stubbs in Autsin, TX.
Feb 5th, 2010 · Reporter Of Reporters Host Michel Martin talks with CNN's Candy Crowley. Crowley is the cable network's senior political correspondent and was recently named as host of CNN's Sunday morning political affairs program,"State of the Union." She will become the only female host in the lineup of national political programs aired by major broadcast networks. Crowley talks about what she is looking forward to in the new job and offers her perspective on this week's political stories.

Dec 30th, 2009 · James Bain was 19-years-old in 1974, when he was arrested and charged with kidnapping and raping a 9-year-old boy. He was convicted largely because the boy identified him in a police lineup. After serving 35 years in prison, James Bain was recently freed after DNA testing — which he pleaded for when he was initially accused — found him innocent of the crime. Bain talks about his life as a freed man and whether he holds any resentment toward the judicial system for the life-changing error.

Oct 6th, 2009 · Hear the original lineup of Dinosaur Jr., together again in a full concert, webcast live on NPR Music from Washington, D.C.'s 9:30 Club. The performance will begin at approximately 8:30 p.m. ET Thursday, with an opening solo set by Dinosaur Jr. bassist and former Sebadoh frontman Lou Barlow. Barlow is on tour in support of his latest album, Goodnight Unknown, and he's on tour with Dinosaur Jr. for the band's latest CD, Farm.
Oct 1st, 2009 · Penske Automotive Group has walked away from the deal, unable to find a manufacturer to make Saturns. General Motors says it will stop making Saturns and close down the brand. Some dealers say this didn't have to happen. They say Saturn could have been a shining star in the GM lineup, had the company not starved the division of new products. Others say blaming GM won't do any good.
