Jan 1st, 2007 · Early Monday, a promising member of the NFL's Denver Broncos was killed. Cornerback Darrent Williams was shot in a drive-by shooting as he was riding in a limousine after a confrontation at a nightclub in downtown Denver. He was 24. Williams' death came just hours after the Broncos were eliminated from the NFL playoffs. Broncos' fans are shocked; the team is devastated. Sep 2nd, 2006 · Nellie Connally, the widow of former Texas Gov. John Connally, has died at 87. She had been the last survivor among the people who were passengers in President John F. Kennedy's limousine when he was assassinated on Nov. 22, 1963.
