His request was rejected by the state of the Vermont which has a no religion policy for vanity plates. Now it's up to a federal judge to decide if that rule is a violation of the First Amendment.

Dec 2nd, 2008 · A New York man has been keeping his license plates inside his car. He says that's the only way to preserve them. Jonathan Lifschutz has vanity plates with five letters that read: OBAMA. Lifschutz is a former donor to Hillary Clinton. But after Barack Obama started winning Democratic primaries, Lifschutz went to the Department of Motor Vehicles and got the plates. He says the only trouble is that people keep trying to steal them.

Oct 20th, 2008 · A dispute between retired NFL players and their union heads to federal court Monday for a trial about money. More than 2,000 former players filed a class-action lawsuit against the NFL Players Association charging the union breached a contract that would've supplied the players with millions of dollars in licensing revenue.
