Nov 30th, 2007 · On the 14th anniversary of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" legislation, a group of retired military officers release a letter opposing the policy and urging leniency on gays and lesbians in the military. On the National Mall on Friday, gay and lesbian groups protested the legislation.
Sep 26th, 2006 · Enron's former finance chief, Andrew Fastow, is sentenced to six years with an additional two years under supervised release. Fastow had worked out a plea deal with prosecutors back in 2004 under which he agreed to a prison term of up to 10 years. However, Fastow asked Federal Court Judge Kenneth Hoyt for a shorter sentence.

Oct 6th, 2005 · Justice Department officials say there will be more leniency for hurricane victims who are filing for bankruptcy, despite a new law that tightens restrictions.
