More than 2,000 former players filed a class-action lawsuit against the NFL Players Association charging the union breached a contract that would've supplied the players with millions of dollars in licensing revenue.

Oct 16th, 2008 · A Nebraska state senator last year filed a lawsuit against God. Ernie Chambers sought an injunction against God because of widespread death and destruction. Judge Marlon Polk has thrown out the lawsuit. He says there's no way to properly notify the defendant. You can't serve papers on a man with no address. Chambers says he may appeal. He contends that God is aware of the charges, since God is all-knowing.

Oct 10th, 2008 · The $700 billion bailout bill had a number of sweeteners added to win over reluctant members of Congress. One of the provisions was tax relief for Alaskan plaintiffs in the recently settled Exxon Valdez lawsuit. Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski visited Valdez this week to talk to these ex-plaintiffs about the tax relief.
