Nov 4th, 2008 · It's every Canadian band's worst nightmare: On the way to KEXP in Seattle, the Toronto trio Elliott Brood got stuck at the border. It took the group two and a half hours to travel a quarter of a mile into the U.S. But once it got in, the band cranked out an adrenaline-fueled batch of punked-up country songs.

Oct 24th, 2008 · In a session recorded by KEXP during the CMJ Music Festival, Fujiya & Miyagi's members play the ambient funk cuts off Lightbulbs. The band closed the set with an unreleased song, "Sick and Tired" — a piano-driven romper that sounds like David Bowie's "Suffragette City" on a heavy krautrock kick.
