Indian Commandos Try To Oust Gunmen

Nov 28th, 2008 · Gunmen in Mumbai are thought to still be holding a number of foreign hostages. Indian commandos have been trading fire with the attackers. On Wednesday, gunmen armed with assault rifles and grenades fanned out across Mumbai and attacked popular tourist sites, including the city's top two luxury hotels.

Nov 27th, 2008 · Indian security forces have freed some hostages at one of the luxury hotels hit in a series of coordinated attacks in Mumbai. At least 100 people are dead and 300 are wounded in the attacks by suspected Islamic militants. Eye witnesses said the gunmen were singling out British and American guests at the hotels.
