Apr 29th, 2008 · Oscar the alligator charmed generations of tourists as he swam and lurked at the Okefenokee Swamp Park, and he will continue to be a tourist attraction after his death. Oscar weighed a thousand pounds and was about 100 years old when he died last year. His skeleton will soon go on display at a museum, along with some of the things found inside him: a dog collar and tags, some spare change and part of a flagpole.

Jun 27th, 2007 · A golf ball only costs a couple bucks, but many golfers just hate to lose one. Count Bruce Burger among them. He knocked his ball into a pond in Venice, Fla. He reached in to get the ball, despite the sign reading: "Beware of Alligator." That's when an 11-foot gator latched onto his arm. Fortunately, the reptile wasn't that persistent. Burger used his free arm to whack the gator until it released him.

May 25th, 2007 · Reggie the alligator has been on the lam for two years, hiding out in a lake and eluding his pursuers. But the fugitive was finally caught Thursday in a chase worthy of Los Angeles. A phalanx of vehicles whisked him off to the zoo as news helicopters broadcast it live on TV.

They stayed up late watching the University of Florida dismantle top-ranked Ohio State University to win college football's national championship.
