Despite Skirmish, U.S. To Send Envoy To North Korea

Nov 11th, 2009 · A naval skirmish this week between the two Koreas will not affect Washington's decision to send a senior diplomat to communist North Korea, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Wednesday. Clinton, speaking on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum in Singapore, said envoy Stephen Bosworth will go to North Korea "in the near future" in an attempt to persuade it to return to six-nation nuclear disarmament talks.
