Google, China At Odds Over Cyberattacks

Jan 13th, 2010 · Gmail accounts belonging to Chinese human rights activists in China, Europe and the U.S. were broken into — the targets of attacks originating in China, Google says. As a result, Google says it will no longer censor results on its China-based search engine, and it is now considering closing down its operations in China. That isn't going to stop cyberattacks from within countries like China and Iran reaching outside their borders. Earlier this year, Twitter fell victim to an attack from inside Iran.
