Army Hospitals Struggle to Stop Drug Overdoses

May 1st, 2008 · Since June, there has been a rash of accidental overdoses at Army hospitals, including at least six that have resulted in deaths. The hospitals have implemented new policies, including a ban on drinking in barracks.

Navy to Shroud Layout of San Diego Barracks **

Sep 27th, 2007 · When it was built in the 1960's, the U.S. Navy didn't expect a barracks in San Diego could cause offense. At the time, no one could tell that the four L-shaped buildings were arranged in the shape of a swastika. Then came Google Earth. And from on high the swastika is really obvious. Naturally, this got picked up by bloggers and a talk show host. The Navy will spend more than a half million dollars on trees and shrubs to obscure the layout.

'Gunner' Documentary Tracks Surreal Story of War

Mar 5th, 2005 · In the weeks following the U.S. invasion of Iraq, soldiers of the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Field artillery Regiment set up quarters in a war-damaged palace in Baghdad. A former lair of Uday Hussein, the crumbling palace barracks serve as a backdrop to the new documentary, "Gunner Palace."
