Jun 21st, 2007 · An arrest warrant was issued for Rakhat Aliev, the country's ambassador to Vienna, Austria, who is also the son-in-law of the president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. Aliev has been charged with kidnapping and running a mafia network. He accused Nazarbayev of orchestrating a politically motivated attack against him.
