Dec 8th, 2005 · A federal air marshal assigned to an American Airlines jet shot and killed a passenger in Miami on Wednesday. Department of Homeland Security officials say Rigoberto Alpizar, a U.S. citizen reportedly suffering from bipolar disorder, acted erratically and claimed to have a bomb. Laura Sullivan reports on the role of air marshals in light of the deadly shooting.

Jun 30th, 2005 · Stan Lapinski, 35, was assigned to the Army 3rd Infantry Division out of Fort Stewart, Ga., and was a member of the 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment. He died in Baghdad on June 11. Rebecca Zisch of member station KNPR has this personal remembrance.
