In fact, between high gas prices and the greening of American culture, people who own thirsty cars and SUVs might be a little ashamed of themselves. Right? As part of our "California Dreamin'" series, we took this theory and ran with it. But after talking to a couple of experts and some car owners, it's back to the drawing board.

Marsh & McLennan Settles Charges of Bid-Rigging

Jan 31st, 2005 · Insurance broker Marsh & McLennan agrees to pay $850 million to settle charges the firm engaged in bid-rigging. The company said it was ashamed by "what a few of the tens of thousands of Marsh employees" had done.
