Singer Spencer Krug's curiosity was piqued by the line, "If I didn't tell her / I would leave today," so he imagined the perspective of the woman left behind.

Cade created Gatorade at the University of Florida in 1965 as a way to both quench players' thirsts and replace carbohydrates and electrolytes lost through sweating in the intense Florida heat. He succumbed to kidney failure. He was 80.

Nov 5th, 2007 · On May 11, 1965, after playing a show at Mississippi State University, Johnny Cash was arrested and charged with public drunkenness. This past weekend, the city of Starkville, Miss., symbolically pardoned him. The ceremony took place as part of the three-day Johnny Cash Flower Pickin' Festival. It's named after Cash's defense: He reportedly told the arresting officers that he was just picking flowers -- at 3 a.m. Cash went on to write a song about the experience: "Starkville City Jail."

Nov 3rd, 2007 · Washoe, claimed to be the first chimpanzee to learn sign language, died this week. Washoe was born in West Africa in 1965. Two scientists, Allen and Beatrix Gardner, took her home with them to Reno, Nev., where they talked to Washoe using American Sign Language.
